Carlos is a guitarist, composer, and arranger best known for his work with David Bowie from the mid-1970s to the early 2000s, having played on more Bowie albums than any musician other than pianist Mike Garson. He has also performed with Duran Duran side project Arcadia, on the album So Red the Rose.
After 32 International gold and platinum records, Carlos Alomar’s place in music history is secure. The legendary guitarist burst upon the rock scene with David Bowie in the mid-1970s, when he, Bowie, and John Lennon co-wrote the hit song “Fame.” Over the course of the next 30 years, Alomar would record and tour the world as Bowie’s music director. His ability to play R&B, Philly soul, hard rock, and ambient music meant that he was always in demand – and able to keep up with Bowie’s quicksilver changes of musical persona. He also co-wrote Mick Jagger’s first solo effort, “She’s The Boss,” Iggy Pop’s comeback hit “Sister Midnight,” and played guitar for a Who’s Who of pop/rock royalty –some notables…Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Simple Minds, Yoko Ono, Bruce Springsteen, Alicia Keys, Graham Parker, Mark Ronson “featuring Bruno Mars”, Mystikal, Duran Duran, …and more. He is also Director of the Sound Synthesis Research Center for the Performing Arts @ Stevens Institute of technology.

What Carlos says:
These systems are totally AWESOME!!!.
I recently got the WiC wireless for Guitar and the WiC wireless for Computer and man was I blown away. I tried the WiC wireless for Computer at home by plugging in directly into my Mac and then really took the WiC wireless for Guitar for a trial run on a gig I was doing. I even forgot to re-charge it…. And it just kept going. Man, this unit really holds a battery charge.
After decades of touring with Bowie and having to deal with wireless units that may or may not work. And feeling like a Ham Radio operator looking for a frequency. I was anxious to see if all the claims were true. You know the ones…. Super clear sound quality, no radio interference, plug and play, user friendly… blah, blah, blah. Well, “if I’m lyin ’ I’m flyin ’”. The WiC wireless for Guitar met and surpassed my expectations.
I used the WiC wireless for Computer plugged into my computer … Bam! Excellent. No latency and high fidelity sound. Next, I hooked up 2 WiC wireless for Guitar units to my floor pedal board and rig.. Bam ! Excellent. Best wireless unit ever…..I was now free to run around and kick any punker that dared climb on stage. So cool, … Now, I use my wireless all the time. ( I even showed it off at my barbeque party…nothing like a little blues riff to accompany my mojito- ahhh, the traveling minstrel. ….Who needs cables anymore?
All kidding aside, I’d say the WiC wireless for Guitar and the WiC wireless for Computer are really a game changer. I couldn’t be happier (and that’s sayin ’ a lot).
